How would you describe what you do at LaunchSquad?

As an Account Executive, it is my job to think strategically while executing on the PR initiatives that we map out for our clients. Whether that means pitching storylines, planning influencer events, or brainstorming “crazy” campaign ideas, each day brings a new and exciting challenge. When I come in each morning, I start the day by reading the news and catching up on what is going on in the world. I love that keeping up with current events is part of my job, and that with each client I work with I get to dive into a fascinating new industry! I see what I do at LaunchSquad as a much broader job than my specific role as an Account Executive. It all boils down to telling engaging and authentic stories. Our clients are absolutely amazing leaders in their fields, and authentically representing their brands to the world is the main focus of all my work.

What’s your favorite part about working at LaunchSquad?

I do not know how LaunchSquad’s HR team does it, but they have managed to hire the most uniquely driven, imaginative and well-spoken people! To me, LaunchSquad is the best place to work because of my colleagues. There is this amazing energy here – it is a safe space where you can ask for help, take creative risks, and stretch. Every week, the entire office gets together to share company updates and announcements, and at the end of each of these meetings we have a content and acknowledgement session. LaunchSquadders get up in front of the group to recognize each other for the stand-out things that happened the week before. I think that this says so much about the culture here and how everyone’s contributions to the LaunchSquad team are genuinely appreciated. I could not be more thrilled to work among people I look up to and have so much to learn from.

What would you consider to be the most important skill to have when working at LaunchSquad?

It may sound cliché, but the most important skill to have at LaunchSquad is a positive attitude. When I think about the people I enjoy working with most, it is those who are able to maintain an optimistic attitude even when things don’t go according to plan. This resilience is so important to success in PR, especially as the industries our clients exist in are ever-evolving. Meeting change with positivity not only motivates yourself to come up with fresh ideas, but sets an example and keeps your whole team motivated and energized to push forward. The openness and receptiveness to feedback that optimistic people bring to creative teams brings out the best in everyone. Positive energy is infectious, and I greatly appreciate working with teammates who see the glass half-full and are always able to find the silver lining.
